Last year’s Consensus hackathon featured 75+ participants working on solutions in financial infrastructure and financial inclusion. This year we’re seeking fresh and interesting ways to use blockchain technology to solve problems in several new end markets.
We're looking for top blockchain developer talent to join us for a weekend of hacking and hustling. Come build new products and tinker with some of the latest and greatest blockchain infrastructure. Apply to join us in Times Square, and earn the chance to walk away with cash prizes, new contacts, and the respect and admiration of our awesome sponsors and mentors — who you will inevitably wow with your project.

Hackathon participants will form teams on the first day to tackle briefs that we will develop in partnership with our sponsors. More details will follow, but these briefs will be broadly focused on the agenda themes at Consensus 2016 of identifying real and useful applications for blockchain technology.
The hackathon will take place the weekend prior to the main Consensus 2016 sessions. Winning teams will receive comped registration passes, and all participants will receive the option to purchase discounted passes.
Last year’s hackathon was a huge success. Check out coverage of the event, the winners' presentation and a full photo gallery of the event here.
